Join us this fall for the ongoing series Dinner With the Artists, an intimate evening of conversation, culinary and artistic experience. At this dinner we welcome photographer Jason Maris and special guests James Bond, a former Atlanta City Council member and son of Dr. Horace Mann Bond as well as Barry Blackwell, Master Printer.
Jason will be discussing his range of work, photographing The United States Marine Corp Recruit Training for over 20 years. James Bond has extensive knowledge about his father's work, its historical significance and will be discussing the evolution of this exhibit with Master Printer, Barry Blackwell. Danielle Bernstein from Gallery L1 will also be present.
This October evening features the culinary magic of Chef David Sweeney. Born in Augusta, Georgia, David grew up in a classic military family who eventually settled in Southern Germany. Always encouraged to explore food culture, David embraced adventurous eating over the next 20 years of living and working in Europe. In 2007 David relocated to Atlanta and opened his first restaurant in the historic Sweet Auburn District of Atlanta - Dynamic Dish. After a brief stint as Chef du Jardin at Atlanta’s Restaurant Eugene, David joined forces with Chef Billy Allin at the one of the South’s most acclaimed farm-to-table restaurants, Cakes and Ale. Since 2014 David has been working free-lance doing pop-ups, cooking demonstrations, developing recipes, food styling, private & corporate catering. He always sources the freshest, most local ingredients and guarantees imaginative meals that have a positive result on the well being of people of all ages.
